For NBA to keep sleeveless jerseys. Please stop the transition to and sale of sleeved jerseys.
The 2015-2016 season is officially underway! But there is still a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
Those ugly Sleeved jerseys!
Sleeveless jerseys are synonymous with basketball. Since it's inception, the NBA has always used its trademark jerseys while being the only major American sport to don a sleeveless uniform. Let's keep it that way.
Besides the sleeved jerseys' unaesthetic properties, let's not kid ourselves on the real issue. The transition to sleeved jerseys serves only one purpose: to make room for ads. Adam Silver has already stated that ads are inevitable. But what does this ultimately mean for us fans? Well we'll all become crappy walking advertisements for big corporations.
Even many of NBA players aren't fans of the sleeved jerseys. The King himself (Lebron James) has publicly stated he wasn't a fan. And if you're a Lebron fan, you're probably going to become a walking Quicken Loans ad like the link below.
No matter what team you support, us true NBA fans can pretty much all agree (except new NBA fans) that the sleeved jerseys have to go. Join me in vowing to not purchase any NBA jersey with sleeves until Commissioner Silver publicly commits to removing sleeved jerseys.
What to do:
Do not purchase any NBA team jersey that has sleeves
